Auditory Integration Training Procedure

It is important for AIT participants to have a healthy, well-functioning ear. Therefore, an audiotest is required within 14 days prior to the first AIT session. Another audiotest should be done within seven days of completing the final AIT session. Based on the individual participant’s needs, a mid-point audiotest may also be recommended.
The AIT participant listens to music through the Berard AIT device, the Earducator ™.

The listening sessions are twice a day for 30 minutes for a period of ten days. A minimum of three hours is required between each daily session. The participant listens to music via the headphones that are compatible with the Earducator machine. The Earducator machine electronically modulates the music while the participant is listening to contemporary music. Based on the results of the audiotest, filtering of certain frequencies may also be indicated.
