Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle model of hands-on intervention, which is part of a growing branch of complimentary therapies available in todays health care arena. Adaptation for improved functioning is promoted by using specialized touch to assist in unraveling inefficient nervous system pathways related to the brain, spinal cord, bones, membranes, and connective tissues throughout the body. Treatment relies on the therapist’s ability to help facilitate the person’s own self-corrective processes. Physical, emotional, and psychological issues may be addressed as part of a therapy session.
