Nadana Benain
Feeding Therapy Specialist - Speech Therapist

Nadana is a Speech-Language Pathologist with approximately three years of experience working with patients across the lifespan in hospitals, clinics, schools, private practices, and home-based settings. Originally from Queens, New York, where she was born and raised, Nadana earned her bachelor’s degree from CUNY Queens College and her master’s degree from New York University (NYU).
Nadana has extensive experience in feeding and swallowing therapy and has worked with patients ranging from just 3 months old to 93 years old. Her experience includes feeding and swallowing disorders, oral aversions, sensory challenges, oral motor skills, and secretion management. She has helped infants develop their suck-swallow skills and supported families as their children transition to purees, solids, and baby-led weaning. She also has experience working with medically complex patients, including individuals with tracheostomies and ventilators, and has participated in Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluations of Swallowing (FEES).
In addition to her feeding and swallowing expertise, Nadana has supported children with a variety of communication needs, including expressive and receptive language, articulation, fluency, literacy, autism, ADHD, and ADD. Her experience across different settings has given her the opportunity to work with children and families with a wide range of needs and backgrounds.
Before becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, Nadana worked in the social work field, providing therapeutic support to children in foster care as well as adults with serious mental health concerns. This experience continues to influence the compassionate, individualized approach she brings to her work with children and their families.
Nadana especially loves feeding therapy and the opportunity to help children develop skills that can make mealtimes safer, more successful, and more enjoyable for the entire family. She values meeting each child where they are and helping families feel supported throughout the therapy process.
Outside of work, Nadana enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and dog. Together, they love taking walks in the park and trying foods from different countries.
