Shannon Flynn
Occupational Therapist
Shannon joined the DTA team in 2008. She has pediatric experience in a variety of settings: home-based, school based and private clinic. Shannon graduated from Utica College of Syracuse University in 2000. She was hired for her first job following her Level 2 internship at the Jean Ayres’ Clinic in Torrance, California. Jean Ayres is the founder of sensory integration dysfunction. She has over 300 hours of continued education Including handwriting without tears and therapeutic listening as well as extensive training in vestibular and visual processing. In her spare time, she can be found teaching group fitness or keeping up with her three daughters; twins and a single. Two who are at UNC-CH (one is a cheerleader so she is at all the games) or in Iowa watching her collegiate softball player. When she’s not with her girls, she’s with most favorite child of all, her dog Theo!
