Why This Trip Matters

Megan, along with a team of nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and community volunteers, will travel to MTC to help fill this gap. The team will deliver much-needed supplies, including pediatric wheelchairs and other disability-related equipment. They will also provide therapy, conduct wellness assessments, and offer education to parents and teachers. As the only pediatric OT on the team this year, Megan’s expertise will bring a vital perspective to therapy sessions and assessments. She is eager to make a tangible impact by applying her skills to serve the children at MTC. Beyond this, Megan is excited to grow both professionally and personally through this experience and she looks forward to sharing her journey with our DTA team upon her return.d for updates on her journey this spring!

How You Can Support

This mission is a team effort, and there are several ways to support Megan and her team:

Donating Medical Equipment: MTC is in great need of pediatric wheelchairs, pediatric walkers, self care supplies, and other therapy equipment.

Wheelchairs can cost around $250, and donations of gently used or new items are highly appreciated.

Financial Contributions: If you would like to contribute towards purchasing wheelchairs or medical equipment, please reach out directly to Megan to learn more.

Spreading the Word:   Sharing this story with your network can help bring awareness to the vital work being done at MTC.
